Day 1

Well, I guess this whole blogging thing isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I'm finding that I am not very good at keeping up with it! Maybe I will have more time once I have a more routine schedule as classes begin.....

For now, here are some pictures from the first day!

Cheers!

Arrival

Welcome to my blog! Now, by no means am I a top notch writer, comic, poet, or anything of the sort. I'm just a regular 20 year old with average (sometimes below average) writing skills trying to stay in contact with friends and family back home in the simplest way possible! So here goes........

So I originally started writing this all and got really detailed about the flights here and the journey to get to Sydney and I realized that was ridiculous about 10 minutes ago when I looked at my draft from last night and got super exhausted just reading it. I know my writing isn't top notch but trust me when I say I am saving you a headache by deleting my previous draft......it was torture. And torture is not my goal with these blog posts.

Anyways, I hope to post some pictures tomorrow showing some of the things I have done the past two days. It has been such an amazing adventure so far and I can't wait to live here for the next 5 months! Everything is very different and it is definitely something I will need to get used to. People totally stare though and know I am an American. I don't know if it's because my family is not exactly fit and they probably see cheeseburgers and hot dogs written all over us, or because we are wearing shorts and dresses in the middle of their winter, or because we literally have no idea where we are going at any point in time. I also need to get used to their time difference. I still have major jet lag and went to sleep last night at 7PM......

I will post more tomorrow about the past two days and some pictures of our adventures.

Cheers! (I guess I should probably get used to saying that since that is all they say over here)
